Castle Road
Narragansett, Rhode Island
Originally constructed in the 1960s, this colonial-style home underwent a comprehensive renovation to improve its functionality while bringing its architecture more in keeping with the character of Narragansett, Rhode Island. The existing first-floor layout was inefficient, and the home lacked a functional kitchen and the architectural details that connected it to its coastal setting.
The renovation reimagined the home both inside and out. The interior was completely redesigned to create a more functional and inviting layout, including a new kitchen tailored to the needs of the homeowners. On the exterior, new Western Red Cedar siding, properly proportioned egress windows with custom shutters, and traditional architectural details were introduced to give the home a more cohesive and timeless appearance. A new covered entryway further enhanced the home's curb appeal while creating a welcoming transition between the landscape and interior.
The result is a thoughtfully updated residence that combines modern functionality with traditional New England character, allowing the home to feel naturally rooted in its Narragansett setting while providing a more comfortable and refined environment for contemporary living.
